Longstanding interest for decades in J. Krishnamurti's philosophy of life; have been a member of discussion groups of the topic.
I offer a reflective, in-depth philosophical discussion on values, worldviews and accepted beliefs. Too little attention is paid to thinking about the meaning and significance of life in our fragmented age. Sometimes a joint reflection that questions and opens up new perspectives is very refreshing! Philosophical practice is an interesting alternative to psychological interpretations, religions and new age esotericism - as well against to constant "small talk"!
I offer online philosophical discussions lasting about an hour at a time on a question or questions of your choice. I also have extensive experience of running a variety of philosophical discussion groups and so can also facilitate groups.
The tools used in philosophical practice include: clarifying perceptions and ideas, opening up and clarifying basic beliefs, and seeking different perspectives. The philosophy practitioner helps clients to clarify, articulate, explore and understand belief systems and philosophical aspects of their own worldview. It enables clients to take an active role in exploring and challenging their own ideas and beliefs. In philosophical counselling, we explore your thought processes and clarify issues that arise in your life. A philosophical practitioner is your guide, your partner and your opponent, your sparring partner. He or she will ask you questions, offer you new concepts and ideas, and help you to critically examine your own thinking.

Key aspects of philosophical practice:
1. **Dialogical approach** to explore and clarify personal beliefs, values and life goals.
2. **Critical Thinking**: to encourage exploration of assumptions, reasoning and justification and to promote clear thinking.
3. **Ethical reflection**: Helps individuals to cope with moral problems and to develop coherent ethical principles.
4. **Existential reflection**: Addresses "big" questions of meaning, purpose and significance in life and death, and human condition.
5. **Personal growth**: Aims to promote self-awareness and understanding. Facilitating self-discovery, personal development, and a deeper understanding of oneself.
I am a member of the FIVE association (Finnish Network of Philosophical Practitioners),and I am committed to its ethical principles. I am also student member of Association for Coaching and follow its' ethical principles.
NOTE: This is not any kind of health care, psychotherapy or brief therapy, it is a philosophical discussion, primarily at the meta-level, i.e. at the level of the client's own philosophy of life and perceptions.
No booking available currently in philosophical practice.

TAIJI & QIGONG AS PHILOSOPHICAL PRACTICE
I have been practicing modernized taiji and qigong for over 20 years (Jigotai taiji branch, Jyväskylä: Jigotai taiji-jaos, Jyväskylä). I have an instructor's qualification from the Finnish Wushu Federation to teach 24-movement standardized Yang-style taiji. In addition, I teach the more common qigong movements (Baduanjin), and 8-Yang taiji movements routine, through which training is also part of philosophical practice and "philosophy of life".
I always integrate philosophical reflection of the underlying Daoist metaphysical principles with training.
I currently run Taiji/Qigong groups whenever I am asked (and also in Jigotai taiji-club in Jyväskylä).
NOTE: It's about physical exercises and health maintenance, not professional health regimens.
